Black Ice Storm Clownfish

The Black Ice Storm Clownfish, *Amphiprion ocellaris*, is a captivating designer clownfish variety prized for its unique and striking coloration. This particular strain exhibits a predominantly black body with irregular white markings that resemble a swirling ice storm, hence its name. The intensity and pattern of the white markings can vary between individuals, making each fish a one-of-a-kind addition to the aquarium.

A minimum aquarium size of 20 gallons is recommended for a single Black Ice Storm Clownfish or a pair. Provide plenty of live rock for hiding places and potential host anemones, although they can thrive without one. While generally peaceful, they can become territorial, especially when hosting an anemone or during breeding. They are considered reef safe and typically do not bother corals or other invertebrates.

Supplementing their diet with marine algae or spirulina can also be beneficial. In a home aquarium, they typically reach a size of approximately 3 inches.
