They do best with medium to large, confident fish that are too big to be swallowed and comfortable in a tank with a predator.

Feeding is simple and fun if you’re prepared. Offer a varied, meaty diet of frozen shrimp, squid, clam, krill, and pieces of marine fish. Using feeding tongs is strongly recommended to avoid accidental bites and to ensure the eel gets its share without overfeeding the tank. Stable water parameters, plenty of rock caves, and good filtration will keep this eel happy and active for years.
