When you purchase a live fish from Discover Aquatics, your purchase is backed by our 48 hour fish replacement guarantee*. This gives you a one-time replacement of the same fish type or a store credit for full purchase price if it is not in stock.

Outstanding customer service and sharing a love of the reefing hoppy is our priority! We want the VERY BEST for our customers and livestock. That is why we are offering a 2 day guarantee on any fish purchased from our shop. Here’s the fine print (not really that fine, just more info…)

  • To qualify for replacement your aquarium must meet the following water parameters:
    • Temperature between 70F and 84F
    • Specific Gravity between 1.022 and 1.027
    • pH between 7.6 and 8.4
    • Ammonia 0.0
    • Nitrite 0.0
    • Nitrates < 40
  • No Warranty on sharks, stingrays, eels, cephalopods, coral and anything on liveaquaria deemed to be “expert only”
  • Discover Aquatics will not be responsible for fish that are deceased from being harassed or picked on by other fish, jumped from the aquarium, met an unfortunate demise with a pump or powerhead or if it is missing. Many fish can hide for a significant amount of time and are not deceased. You must provide proof of the deceased specimen.
  • Customers must follow all acclimation procedures.
  • No replacements will be given on fish purchased with store credit.
  • Store credits are valid up to one year after issued.
  • Do not discard deceased specimen without our consent as this will void our guarantee.
  • Please bring deceased specimen with a water sample within 48 hours of purchase.

Shipping Guarantee:

Report any DOAs within 2 hrs of timestamped delivery.

Shipping is not covered for a DOA claim. Customer is responsible for shipping costs, no matter condition of livestock. Customer is responsible for future shipping costs for DOA credits. There will be no free shipping.

We are not responsible for any delays, lost or damaged boxes due to carrier. Will help claim process with shipper, but ultimately up to the carrier to determine claim of package.

Once the package has left our hands, there is very little we can do to change any part of the shipping process.
