The Rhinopias frondosa, often referred to as the "holy grail" of scorpionfish, is an extraordinary addition to any advanced aquarium.
Currently, we have two available: a small specimen measuring 4 inches and a large one at 5-6 inches. The larger Rhinopias is already eating frozen silversides, making it a more convenient choice for experienced aquarists.
Also known as Eschmeyer's Scorpionfish or Goose Scorpionfish, this species is renowned for its unique appearance and behaviors. Its coloration varies between red, pink, or yellow, adapting to its environment. In an aquarium, this fish mimics the motion of a leaf as it gently rocks back and forth in the water, adding to its mystique.
Diet:
The Rhinopias Scorpionfish enjoys a diet of small fish and shrimp. When first introduced to your aquarium, live saltwater feeder shrimp are recommended to encourage feeding. Over time, it will accept frozen offerings such as ghost shrimp or feeder guppies.
